The Trump Administration has high hopes for the trade talks in China and what they have cooking up with them.
Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin has spoken out and said that they are making “a lot of progress.”
Mnuchin has been in most of the high level negotiations with China and knows how far they have come in negotiations.
Mnuchin told the press this, “Last week I sat in meetings with ambassador Lighthizer and the Vice Premier Liu He…we made a lot of progress, I think we’ve commented on, we’re working on 150-page document… we still have a lot of work to do.”
The President is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping sometime in March before a final agreement is signed.
The deadline for China’s decision is on March 1st, 2019.
