The FBI has released the final report on the Brian Laundrie / Gabby Petito case and is ready to announce who killed the 22-year-old.
• In the final report by the FBI, they have concluded that Brian Laundrie was the murderer.
• Written in a notebook found in possession of Brian Laundrie, states that he took responsibility for her death.
• The FBI in Denver, who were the lead investigators, in this case, said that they found a notebook, a revolver, and a backpack near his remains.
• In the notebook, they found, he wrote his confession.
• The FBI said in a statement: “A review of the notebook revealed written statements by Mr. Laundrie claiming responsibility for Ms. Petito’s death,”
• The FBI also confirmed that Biran Laundrie deceived law enforcement by texting her parents and authorities even though she was already deceased.
• Brian also used Gabby’s debit card while driving back from Wyoming to his parent’s house in Florida.
• Brian was found deceased at Carlton Reserve in Venice, Florida.
• Gabby Petito’s autopsy concluded that she was murdered by “blunt force injuries to the head and neck, with manual strangulation.”
• Brian Laundrie died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
• The FBI concluded that Brian Laundrie acted alone in the murder of Petito and that no other individuals were being investigated.
• The FBI has now closed the case.
