Trump’s Ban on Transgenders in the Military Policy Takes Effect

On Friday, the White House policy for Transgenders to not serve unless they serve under their biological gender will now go into effect.

TRANSGENDER BAN: Transgenders have been openly trans in the military since 2016.

A March memo has already written up regulations stating, Transgender individuals who join the military going forward will have to serve in the gender they were assigned at birth.

Anyone diagnosed with gender dysphoria will not be allowed to enlist unless a doctor certifies they have been stable in their biological sex for 36 months.

Troops diagnosed with gender dysphoria WILL be discharged if they are “unable or unwilling to adhere to all applicable standards, including the standards associated with their biological sex,” the memo says.

TRANSGENDER COMMUNITY: The Transgender community believes the law is a ban because of the contradictory of “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy made by gay, lesbian, and bisexual people in the military.

THE WHITE HOUSE: The White House would not call the proposal a ban because the military still allows transgenders, but they must comply with their biological sex assigned at birth.

CONCLUSION: The Transgender ban has gone into effect and trans people can be in the military but must serve under their biological sex.
