Trump Sues Banks For Complying With Dems Subpoena

On Monday, the Trump administration filed federal lawsuits against Capital One and Deutsche Bank in order to stop the banks comply with congressional subpoenas that Democrats have issued on The President.

DEMOCRATS: The President has filed his lawsuits after Democrats, Adam Schiff and Maxine Waters issued the subpoenas seeking for records on Trump’s personal finances.

DEUTSCHE BANK: Deutsche Bank was sued after the President found out this bank turned over Trump’s financial documents to the New York state attorney general’s office in response to the subpoena by Dems.

ADAM SCHIFF AND MAXINE WATERS: In a joint statement, they both stated, “another demonstration of the depths to which President Trump will go to obstruct Congress’s constitutional oversight authority.

They continued, “This lawsuit is not designed to succeed; it is only designed to put off meaningful accountability as long as possible.”

“Trump has already said publicly that he is fighting all of the subpoenas from Congress, and that he does not respect Congress’ role as a coequal branch of government. This unprecedented stonewalling will not work, and the American people deserve better,” they added.

THE PRESIDENT: The President has sued 2 different entities now, Trump sued Elijah Cummins a couple week ago, to block a subpoena for Trump’s financial records from the accounting firm Mazars.

CONCLUSION: The President has sued Deutsche Bank and Capitol One for releasing his financial documents to New York’s state AG’s office due to subpoenas the Democrats filed to banks and entities involved with Trump’s money.
