The Trump Administration is ready to remove health care protections for transgender people meaning easier access to deny them as patients.
HHS: Department of Health and Human Services will have the proposed law ready by next week, which will make denying transgenders as patients easier for doctors, hospitals, and insurance companies.
This law will also include removing health care protections from Women who want an abortion.
THE PROVISION: The provision says patients cannot be turned away because they are transgender, nor can they be denied coverage if they need a service that’s related to their transgender status.
The proposal will only make more room discrimination when it comes to Transgenders.
HEALTH CARE: In 2016, a rule prohibited providers and insurers who receive federal money from denying treatment or coverage to anyone based on sex, gender identity or termination of pregnancy.
It also required doctors and hospitals to provide “medically necessary” services to transgender individuals, as long as those services were the same ones provided to other patients.
That case was fought in court in 2016 by Christian advocates saying they are paying for what they don’t believe in and as been on trial to this day.
The case should open back soon but has took so long because of the case behind ObamaCare.
CONCLUSION: The Trump Administration is ready to remove health care protections on Transgenders to make insurance companies and health care facilities deny Transgenders.
