President Trump White House Departure Remarks

President Trump talked to reporters while departing the White House en route to Paris for celebrations commemorating the 100th anniversary of the World War I armistice. He talked about a variety of topics, including his appointing of Matt Whitaker to become acting attorney general after the firing of Jeff Sessions. He said he knew Whitaker only by reputation and thought he had the demeanor to lead the Justice Department. He also talked about the Senate election in Florida, which still didn’t have a clear winner three days following Election Day 2018.
