President Trump took to Twitter to blast China for lying regarding major purchases of Agricultural Products from the US.
After President Trump Met with President Xi of China at the G20 President Trump said on Twitter that China would increase purchases of Agricultural products from our great farmers in response to lifting Tariffs and revamping Trade Negotiations with Bejing.
I had a great meeting with President Xi of China yesterday, far better than expected. I agreed not to increase the already existing Tariffs that we charge China while we continue to negotiate. China has agreed that, during the negotiation, they will begin purchasing large…..

….amounts of agricultural product from our great Farmers. At the request of our High Tech companies, and President Xi, I agreed to allow Chinese company Huawei to buy product from them which will not impact our National Security. Importantly, we have opened up negotiations…

….again with China as our relationship with them continues to be a very good one. The quality of the transaction is far more important to me than speed. I am in no hurry, but things look very good! There will be no reduction in the Tariffs currently being charged to China.

Now China Says that they did not believe that what they discussed was a commitment to purchase agricultural products. This breakdown in trade negotiations could make this trade war worse than it has been before even after the last negotiations went south after China though it was a good idea to renegotiate a trade deal that they already agreed.
Mexico is doing great at the Border, but China is letting us down in that they have not been buying the agricultural products from our great Farmers that they said they would. Hopefully they will start soon!

Top White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow told reporters on Thursday morning that the government expects China to start purchasing American farm product “very soon,” calling it a “key point” of trade negotiations.
American Farmers are believed to be the hardest hit by these trade scuffles between China and the West; President Trump has tried to alleviate the hardship by providing subsidies while the trade negotiations continue. Only time will tell if China is willing to stop their destructive course and finally sit down and hash out a deal that would make the trade with Bejing beneficial to the United States and China

We like things to happen instantly in America. After some thought, I am willing to say that China needs to “save face” as negotiations continue. Meanwhile, tariffs have NOT been reduced. China is dealing with the Businessman – in – Chief, President Donald J. Trump. Let’s be patient.
