Trump is known for not paying his bills. He instead wants others to pay them for him. The RNC is paying all of Trump’s mounting legal bills, from the investigations into his private businesses in New York to the January 6th committee witch hunt. The RNC told Trump that as soon as he announces his re-election bid, all the bills they pay will come out of his pocket.
