EO Warning Scares Liberal Universities from Banning Conservative Speakers

The President has promised he will end federal research grants for universities that do not allow free speech due to many Universities like UC Berkley, which is deem unsafe for conservatives to speak.

THE PRESIDENT: The President attended the CPAC and stated, “If colleges want our dollars, and we give it to them by the billions, they’ve got to allow people like Hayden and many other great young people and old people to speak.”

LYNN C. PASQUERELLA: The President of the Association of American Colleges and Universities counter acted saying that the university cannot be at fault for the incidents that happen. She stated, “Hayden Williams, an outside speaker, is invited to campus, is allowed to speak, and somebody hits him and is arrested immediately. What could they do? What could they have done to provide further protection?”

“This is a false crisis narrative that has been created by President Trump and his administration,” she added.

J.B. BIRD: A spokesman for the University of Texas at Austin said he sees true freedom of speech at UT stating, “It’s hard to experience from the outside, but there was a great free speech exchange between students and Kirk,” when a conservative speaker, Charlie Kirk who offered students to debate him if they wanted and then after it was over another student threw a cup of water at him and was arrested for a Class C misdemeanor.

“The whole event showed you that there was really positive interaction and a great example of freedom of speech in action, but different people characterize the event differently,” he said.

CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET OFFICE: Claims academic centers perform $35 billion in research and development annually for the federal government. Small technical schools, state-run colleges and big-league research institutions such as Johns Hopkins University are among the sources of studies on topics such as nanotechnology and literacy teaching in elementary schools.

CONCLUSION: Universities need to start allowing freedom of speech and protection of both sides of the spectrum to speak and be heard without violence or their funding will be repealed.
