Vladimir Putin of Russia is set for his first talks with Kim Jung Un of North Korea coming up this month and Putin is looking to get something out of it.
NORTH KOREA: After a set of talks with President Trump last year, North Korea backed denuclearization, although the second time was not a success.
North Korea has begun testing weapons again this week in Pyongyang.
RUSSIA: Vladimir Putin is gearing up to have a bigger role in nuclear negotiations since the U.S. dropped the Nuclear Treaty with Russia.
KIM JUNG UN: The North Korean leader has been wanting to talk to other countries and Russia but never had a reason to until after his last summit with President Trump was a failure.
Kim did not want to pay the expenses he had to for Russia since Moscow was not a major player but now he has to use resources.
RUSSIA: The Kim-Putin Summit will be held sometime at the end of April, which means very soon, Putin or Kim have not released an exact date or location.
KIM JUNG UN: Kim failed to show up to the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II and pulled out at the last minute so these talks may or may not happen.
CONCLUSION: The Russian leader and Korean leader are expected to meet by the end of the month to talk about nuclear negotiations after Russia’s fall out with U.S.A’s Nuclear Treaty and Kim Jung Un’s failed summit with President Trump.
There are speculations that Kim Jung Un will not show up to the summit because of his previous flakiness with Putin.
