GOP leaders are having a hard time keeping key Republican members from trying to censure or even impeach Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
A move that will fire up the Republican and Trump base but would turn off Moderate or Independent voters in the midterms coming up.
Rep. Mark Meadows, chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer“ Rosenstein has a number of other issues, and that’s really getting documents to Congress that we’ve asked for,” he went on to say “He needs to get serious about that
Rep. Devin Nunes, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, told Fox News last week.“We will have a plan to hold in contempt and impeach.”
Other Republicans known as RINOS fear that firing anyone involved with the Mueller Probe including Mueller himself would cause a constitutional crisis and dim Republican hopes of holding their congressional majorities.
