According to their signs and chants, the protestors seemed to want Immigration detentions facilities shut down and ICE abolished. “End Detention NOW,” they screamed at the top of their lungs. One protestor yelled out to Biden and the crowd, “our families are dying.”
Biden responded by saying, “you want a Microphone?” and I agree with you,” I am working on it now, give me another five days!” According to Biden, there should be no private prisons.
THE EXECUTIVE ORDER
It is unclear if Biden is working on a new Immigration executive order or orders, but he has signed some a few weeks back, demanding the Justice department end their reliance on private prisons.
