Priebus on the HOTSEAT as the Mueller Failure of an Investigation ramps up

Former Chief of Staff Reince Pribus was asked to…..

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team interviewed former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus on Friday, his lawyer said.

THE INTERVIEW:  William Burck Pribus’s Lawer said Priebus’ interview took place at Mueller’s office.

“Mr. Priebus was voluntarily interviewed by Special Counsel Mueller’s team today. He was happy to answer all of their questions,” Burck said.

The team’s interview of Priebus was expected after two unnamed sources told CNN investigators would begin talking to current and former White House staff about the probe in the coming weeks.

PRIEBUS: May have information regarding Trump’s firing of former FBI Director James Comey in May. Priebus was one of the aides Trump requested to leave the Oval Office after a meeting with Comey in February, Comey told the Senate Intelligence Committee in June. Comey said during that meeting after the aides had left, Trump had asked him to discontinue the investigation of Flynn.

Priebus may also possess knowledge about former national security adviser Mike Flynn, who was fired in February after it was disclosed he lied about his contacts with Russian officials.

MUELLER: Has said he’s interested in also speaking to former press secretary Sean Spicer, communications director Hope Hicks, White House counsel Don McGahn, communications adviser Josh Raffel and associate counsel James Burnham.
