President Donald Trump Wants to Make it Easier for American Companies to Sell Guns Overseas

Main Stream Media is having a full fledged Meltdown over President Donald Trump’s comment of making it easier to sell guns [Including Long Guns] and Ammunition overseas.

THE PLAN: Trump Administration Aids are working on a Plan to put the Commerce Department in charge of international, non-military firearms sales.  At this time the state Department is in charge of those sales.

The state Department and the Department of Commerce is at a disagreement on the issue, State department stating that it’s most concerned about threats to stability abroad and tightly controls weapons deals.

EXPORT: In 2016 State Department licensed roughly $4 billion in commercial firearms exports according to Sources. Out of that revenue over 90% would move onto the Department of Commerce under the new Consideration.

THE BENEFITS: According to the Trump Administration will be New Jobs by Gun Manufacturers.

THE FEAR: From the Opposition is that if we export more Commercial Weapons over seas it can fall in the hand of Notorious Groups like the Zetas in Mexico, MS13 in El Salvador or Paramilitary Extremist Groups Including Radical Islamic Group ISIS.

GUN COMPANIES: Like Sturm, Ruger and Co., and Smith & Wesson, owned by American Outdoor Brands Corp will benefit from this move as they have seen their shares decline since the election in November.  People Seem to not fear that their Second Amendment right is in danger after Donald Trump was elected.  Both companies, among others, would likely benefit from the eased export rules under consideration by the Trump administration.

Larry Keane, senior vice president at the National Shooting Sports Foundation, told Reuters putting the Commerce Department in charge of non-military firearms sales could boost annual sales by between 15 and 20 percent.

CONCLUSION: Exporting weapons is a double edge sword, the consequences of not regulating those sales could cause great harm around the world.  It is to our benefit that this rule is passed as more jobs will be created and exports will boom but we MUST be smart and vigilant regrading the sales of these weapons.
