The Trump Administration is requiring everyone not to buy oil from Iran or face sanctions to get Iranian oil off the markets.
MIKE POMPEO: The Secretary of State stated, “Our goal has been to get countries to cease importing Iranian oil entirely.”
MIKE POMPEO ANNOUNCING IRAN OIL SANCTIONS:
TRUMP ADMINISTRATION: As a way to end destabilizing in the Middle East the U.S. is putting sanctions on those who try to buy it.
IRANIAN OIL: Customers of Iranian Oil include China, India, Turkey, Japan, and South Korea who do not own waivers yet still buy.
Greece, Italy, and Taiwan have waivers but stopped buying Iranian Oil all together.
Anyone who buys Iranian oil will be cut off from the U.S. Financial System.
MIKE POMPEO: Pompeo stated, “We have made clear if you don’t abide by this, there will be sanctions.”

CONCLUSION: Oil prices, and as a result U.S. gas prices, have already risen since mid-February as Saudi Arabia and Russia cut production and The U.S. is giving sanctions
