ObamaCare is Unconstitutional says Justice Department

The Department of Justice on Monday announced that it is siding with a district court ruling that found the Affordable Care Act unconstitutional.

The move is an escalation of the Trump administration’s legal battle against the Illegal health care law.

U.S. District Court Judge Reed O’Connor ruled in December that the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate is unconstitutional and that the rest of law is therefore invalid.

The DOJ said Monday that it agrees the decision should stand as the case works its way through the appeals process in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

“The Department of Justice has determined that the district court’s judgement should be affirmed,” the department said in a short letter to the appeals court.

  1. It IS! From the very inception of this farce of affordable care, I have said that repeatedly! How can the government FORCE its citizens to purchase something, and then penalize them if they do not purchase it? That is illegal! The government cannot force us to purchase anything. I could not understand how Obama got away with this, and the courts did nothing to stop it, nor did any of other lawmakers? By mandating this law, you essentially declared this is NOT a free country anymore. It cannot be a free country when your government mandates that you MUST purchase something whether you can afford it or not, and then fine you when you cannot make the purchase. That is not how a “free” country operates. This unaffordable care act must be ditched in the trash where it belongs.
