Multiple reports state that Nancy Pelosi was kicked out of a high-stakes meeting with the radical progressive wing of the Democrats on Thursday as she attempted to persuade the radicals to adopt Biden’s new watered-down Infrastructure proposal of $1.75 Trillion.
• Many Sources state that chairwoman Pramila Jayapal has Pelos Kicked out of the meeting.
• A Democrat staffer told reporters anonymously that she was kicked out of the high stakes meeting, but Pelosi’s response was “I was leaving anyway.”
• After reports were published, Pelosi’s Deputy Chief of Staff, Drew Hammill, disputed her departure characterization.
This is false. The Speaker dropped by the CPC to listen but had to leave for an event honoring former Rep. Nita Lowey at the Library of Congress. She was in the room for approx 12 minutes. https://t.co/jDatNUqPtq

• Chris Evans, the spokesperson for Jayapal, also denied Pelosi was “kicked out” of the meeting.
Jayapal’s spokesman Chris Evans says this absolutely did not happen and “there is zero truth to it.” https://t.co/65e4Dk1Ac7

• As Biden Readies to travel to Europe for a climate summit and meet the pope among other leaders worldwide, Pelosi wanted to hand him a victory on Infrastructure. Still, it will not happen before Friday morning’s deadline.
• Biden slashed the $3.5 Trillion price tag to $1.75 Trillion on Thursday as a way to persuade Sinema and Manchin to vote in favor of the bill.
• Slashing the Infrastructure has now angered the Radical wing of the Democrats, with AOC vowing to vote against it if a reconciliation bill is not voted on at the same time, that includes a social Infrastructure package.
• According to staffers Pelosi or even House majority leader Hoyer showing up to their meeting would equate to mom and dad crashing the slumber party, which bothered some progressives.
