The Democrats in the Senate on Thursday blocked plans to provide hundreds of billions of dollars to help small businesses contend with the coronavirus-fueled economic meltdown, the Democrats in both houses are calling it a STUNT by the GOP. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell tried to pass an additional $250 billion for the Paycheck Protection Program, which provides loans and grants to small businesses with fewer than 500 employees.
Now we have Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House, also echoing Sens. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) and Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) in the senate referring to it as a “political stunt.”
According to @SpeakerPelosi, requesting more money for additional aid to Small Businesses is a “stunt”.
Small Business Owners will remember this.
