A top counterterrorism prosecutor who led the Micheal Flynn case has left the special counsel’s office this week.
ZAINAB AHMAD: Zainab Ahmad, worked as a counterterrorism prosecutor, she and Brandon Van Grack signed Micheal Flynn’s guilty plea.
PETER CARR: Utahn Spokesman for Mueller’s office and team stated, “Zainab Ahmad has concluded her detail with the Special Counsel’s Office but will continue to represent the office on specific pending matters that were assigned to her during her detail,” Carr officially stated about Ahmad’s departure.
BRANDON VAN GRACK: The first top prosecutor to depart from the special counsel but will proceed in the justice department and lead the Foreign Agent Registration Act violations.
ZAINAB AHMAD: She is now the second top prosecutor to leave the special counsel and it might be due to the Mueller investigation wrapping up.
ROBERT MUELLER: Even though, it seems like the investigation is coming to it’s end, Mueller called for a judge to further postpone Richard Gates’ sentencing due to his cooperation in “several ongoing investigations,” he said.
CONCLUSION: Prosecutors of all rankings have been stepping down from the special counsel but it does not necessarily mean the investigations are over
