STEVE MNUCHIN: The Treasury Secretary testified before the House’s committee and when he was asked about Trump’s tax return, he said, “I think it would be premature at this point to make any specific comments other than, as I’ve been consistent before in saying, it is being reviewed by the legal departments and we look forward to responding to the letter.”
WATCH THE FULL HEARING WITH STEVE MNUCHIN:
RICHARD NEAL: Last week, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman, sent a letter to IRS Commissioner, Charles Rettig, requesting six years of Trump’s personal and business tax returns by April 10th.
DEMOCRATS: Dems have been fighting in their own circle on the House Dems asking for trump’s tax returns because some say there is no legislative purpose for them and other Dems say there are legislative reasons for the request.
CONCLUSION: The House has brought in Steve Mnuchin and Charles Rettig to testify in leu of The House Democrats request for Trump’s tax returns over a 6 year course in order to obstruct him since he never released his tax returns during his presidency campaign which is tradition for other campaigners. The House wants to get his tax returns anyway they can. Steve because he is the over looker of the IRS.
