Masterpiece Cakeshop Owner Sued by LGBT Advocates for 3rd Time

Do you remember Jack Phillips, the Colorado baker who was vindicated before the Supreme Court in 2018 after he refused to bake a gay wedding cake…well he has been sued again, this time over a transgender themed cake.

Phillips, owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop in Lakewood, Colorado, is being dargged back into court, this time over his refusal to bake a trans-themed cake back in 2017.

Autumn Scardina, the transgender lawyer who ordered the cake first took action against Phillips by reporting him to the Colorado Civil Rights Commission.

After the commission ruled in the baker’s favor, Scardina took her case to a district court.

Jake Warner is the lawyer at the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) that is defending Mr. Phillips and its also the group that’s been advocating on his behalf of since 2012, they were the same lawyers that defended Mr Phillips in the 2018 Supreme Court Ruling.
