A FBI chart noting available statues for prosecuting Hilary Clinton came out and ‘gross negligence’ was not included which could have potentially prosecuted her.
James Comey was the former FBI director and he claimed Clinton would not be prosecuted but he admitted she and her colleagues were “extremely careless” in handling classified information.
Mishandling of classified information through gross negligence is a criminal act under federal law which is what Comey had said about Clinton and her team.
Former FBI investigator, Peter Strzok, changed the language in Clinton’s emails that Comey sent to avoid prosecution.
Comey also touched on the issue saying, “Prosecutors necessarily weigh a number of factors before bringing charges. There are obvious considerations, like the strength of the evidence, especially regarding intent. Responsible decisions also consider the context of a person’s actions, and how similar situations have been handled in the past.”
