WHAT WE KNOW:
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA), and Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) spoke briefly with the press after their House Republican conference. When asked about removing Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from committee assignments, Leader McCarthy said he had offered to move her to other committees, but that Democrats had rejected his offer. He also said that he denounced the statements the freshman representative made prior to being elected and that she had denounced them as well during the House Republican conference. It was also announced that during the meeting, Rep. Cheney was re-elected as Republican Conference Chair Kevin McCarthy also exposes Maxine Waters and Eric Swalwell and asks if Democrats will also take them off committees for prior comments
Rep. @mtgreenee addresses the charges against her head-on and makes her case that a weak GOP—not the Left’s caricature of her as an extremist kook—is the real problem.
