Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signs a new common sense voting bill into law triggering the Democrats and News Media that wasn’t allowed to cover it live.
Florida Republicans voted in nearly party-line a new measure that requires voters who want an absentee ballot or change their parties registration to submit and driver’s license number, ID, or the last four digits of their social with their request.
The bill also bans and Florida county from entering into legal consent agreements that could change election procedures. A huge problem in 2020 is also being fixed. The new bill prohibits counties from accepting grants or private funds to pay for election-related expenses, as is the case in states like Arizona and Texas. Mark Zuckerberg gave sizable donations in those states to pay for additional “poll workers” and “Security systems.” Lastly, it would ban anyone from distributing food or drinks within 150 feet of a polling place.
DESANTIS SIGNS BILL ON FOX NEWS
Governor Ron Desantis wanted to make sure he let his constituents that voted for him to know what he was signing, and he did by bypassing the Liberal local media and went straight nationwide on Fox News
The Florida GOP says this measure is meant to improve confidence in Florida elections as officials from the Trump administration called it “the safest” elections conducted in American History.
Gov.Ron Desantis said: Floridians can rest assured that our state will remain a leader in ballot integrity,” DeSantis said. “Elections should be free and fair, and these changes will ensure this continues to be the case in the Sunshine State.”
Typical of Democrats, they have already sued the governor to try to overturn these new changes. Only time will tell if they are successful. Florida Liberals immediately filed litigation challenging the bill on behalf of RADICAL far-left groups like the league of women’s voters of Florida, the Black Voters Matter Fund, and the Florida Alliance for Retired Americans. The Democrats’ lawsuit claims this bill violates the 1st and 14th amendments.
The Florida Democrats leader said, “Gov. DeSantis and the Florida Republicans are more interested in holding on to power than ensuring fair access to our democracy,” he went on to say, “They all praised the quality of the November elections here in Florida and now they are changing the rules. For the Florida Republicans, this bill is not about election integrity. It is about blatant voter suppression, just because they can.”
