Former Speaker, Paul Ryan, said that Trump would not be able to be win this new election because of who he is and Democrats have a chance because of their policy proposals.
PAUL RYAN: Paul Ryan spoke to reporters on Monday saying, “The person who defines that race is going to win the race. If this is about Donald Trump and his personality, he isn’t going to win it.” He continued to say that The President needs to define his campaign for 202 through policy proposal if he wants to win.
It’s not unknown that the Republican and The President have had their differences and clashed many times especially during the first years of his presidency.
PAUL RYAN: Paul Ryan resigned from Speaker of the House in January after the Republicans lost control of the lower chamber. He never ran for the next election and that may have to do with what Trump kept saying about him.
THE PRESIDENT: Trump had a lot to say about Paul Ryan being loyal to Nancy Pelosi but not him, “Why can’t you be loyal to your president, Paul?”
Trump also blamed Paul Ryan for not getting the funding he promised for his border wall.
PAUL RYAN: Ryan told the President, “Well, I was going to veto the omnibus bill and Paul told me in the strongest of language, ‘Please don’t do that, we’ll get you the wall.”
THE PRESIDENT: Trump replied, “I hope you mean that, because I don’t like this bill.”
“Paul told me in the strongest of terms that, ‘Please sign this and if you sign this we will get you that wall.’ Which is desperately needed by our country. Humanitarian crisis, trafficking, drugs, you know, everything…people, criminals, gangs, so, you know, we need the wall,” The President stated about what Ryan told him.
The President named Paul Ryan, “lame-duck,” which eventually stuck on Paul Ryan.
CONCLUSION: Paul Ryan came out to speak to reporters on Monday in Florida and claimed the President would not win because of his personality and lack of policy proposals but the Democrats have a high chance of beating him.
