The House Intelligence Committee ran by Adam Schiff, says that no more briefing will be held on Afghanistan until September, even after multiple American Marines were killed in a surprise attack at Kabul Airport on Thursday.
The planning comes as several Republicans in the House demand more briefings and information from the Biden Administration regarding the unfolding crisis in Afghanistan, which led to the attack at Kabul Airport, which left 12 marines dead and over 15 wounded.
The House will remain in recess until September 20th with no plans from Pelosi in returning into session any earlier.
While many republicans hope to get a briefing earlier, it will be near impossible to have a briefing over the phone given the sensitivity of the information.
