The weird Independent contender that ran against Republican Troy Balderson and Democrat Danny O’Connor won enough votes to throw the race into an automatic recount in the already nail-biting election.
Joe Manchik Independent from Ohio made rather Odd claims during his campaign saying that his family descended from Aliens and he comes from the town of Hell Michigan which is, in fact, a real place:
Hell is an unincorporated community in Putnam Township, Livingston County, in the U.S. state of Michigan. The community is near the border with Washtenaw County, about 15 miles (24 km) northwest of Ann Arbor. Hell is three miles (4.8 km) southwest of Pinckney via Patterson Lake Road. The community is served by the Pinckney post office with ZIP Code 48169. (Wikipedia)
Manchik also claims he can speak over 15 languages including Spanglish, Nissan, and Kawasaki
Mr. Machik earlier this year gave a speech-slurred interview in which he couldn’t remember his own website address.
in Tuesday’s closely watched special election, 1,127 Ohioans chose him over Democrat Danny O’Connor.
Balderson’s apparent margin of victory was just 1,754 votes. Presuming Manchik’s base would otherwise have been O’Connor supporters, the result without him would have been very close to triggering an automatic recount.
