Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer told the President that any bipartisan budget deficit must include Climate Change and substantial, new and real revenue for tax hikes.
THE PRESIDENT: The President will host Pelosi and Schumer to the White House on Tuesday and discuss on a major infrastructure bill that will be bipartisan.
DEMOCRATS: Democrats want the measure for roads, bridges, waterways and other projects to be paid for with tax increases, and a final price of at least $1 trillion.
Although, Nancy Pelosi stated, “It’d like it to be closer to $2 trillion.”
Pelosi and Schumer wrote to the President stating, “We look forward to hearing your ideas on how to pay for this package to ensure that it is big and bold enough to meet our country’s needs.”
The Democrats’ bottom line is, “any deal extended beyond traditional infrastructure projects; take into account climate change; include “Buy America” provisions; and provide jobs for a broad swath of workers.”
THE PRESIDENT: Trump has agreed to a 25 cents tax hike to help pay for infrastructure overhaul but has not been raised in more than two decades. The tax hike will help for roads and highways.
On Tuesday, Trump will meet Democrats and Republicans to figure out the infrastructure bill and settle on something. This will be a reunion of the parties in the same room since the Mueller report came out.
CONCLUSION: On Tuesday, the leaders of the Senate and House will speak on the infrastructure bill, everyone will be there, all officials, and they will decide on a number, all infrastructures added to build or repair, and tax hikes if needed.
