The Supreme Court announced on Wednesday that the Trump administration may enforce a policy that requires Illegal aliens to remain in Mexico as they seek asylum.
The justices will allow the “Remain in Mexico” policy to continue while the administration appeals a lower court ruling which deemed the program illegal and ordered a suspension that was scheduled to take effect tomorrow. Justice Sonia Sotomayor was the only justice to publicly dissent from the decision to allow the policy to continue.
The vote tally is not yet made available but will update this report once it released
This is the response on social media from both sides-
The Supreme Court has ruled that President Trump's 'Remain In Mexico' policy can stay in place
Now, more than ever, we can't afford to let thousands of unchecked immigrants flow into the country & then lose them in the mainland
This policy is smart & effective

BREAKING: The Supreme Court has allowed Trump's forced Return to Mexico policy to remain in effect while our case proceeds.
The Court of Appeals declared it illegal and SCOTUS should as well.
Asylum seekers face grave danger and irreversible harm every day from this policy.
