Border Wall Prototypes are NOW Under Construction

The Construction of the NEW border wall has begun, Six companies who won the bidding competition will start building and testing their version of the wall..only 1 will win!

BORDER WALL PROTOTYPE:  Crews broke ground today on eight border wall prototypes in a fenced-off area in Otay Mesa that is expected to be a construction zone for the next 30 days.

Four of the prototypes will be made of concrete while the other four will be made of alternate materials. All of the models will be between 18 to 30 feet high and 30 feet long.

Ronald Vitiello, acting deputy commissioner of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, said “We are committed to securing our border and that includes constructing border walls. Our multi-pronged strategy to ensure the safety and security of the American people includes barriers, infrastructure, technology and people,”  went on to say “Moving forward with the prototypes enables us to continue to incorporate all the tools necessary to secure our border.”’

CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES: The companies selected to build the eight prototypes were:

  • Caddell Construction Co. (DE), LLC of Montgomery, AL
  • Fisher Sand & Gravel Co., DBA Fisher Industries of Tempe, AZ
  • Texas Sterling Construction Co. of Houston, TX
  • W.G. Yates & Sons Construction Company of Philadelphia, MS

“The concrete border wall prototypes will allow CBP to evaluate the potential for new wall and barrier designs that could complement the wall and barrier designs we have used along the border over the last several years,” CBP officials stated. “As the border security environment continues to evolve, CBP will continually refresh its own inventory of tools to meet that evolution.”

PROTEST: San Diego Police and CBP anticipate Protest and will assign a “Free Speech Zone” Close to the Construction site.  When it comes to officials they too have Expressed dissatisfaction with Lawsuits and planned Protest.

DATE OF COMPLETION: The Prototypes are set to be Completed in 30 days, Once completed CBP will select a winning design. The project is underway despite the lack of congressional funding for President Donald Trump’s promised wall, which would be constructed along portions of the U.S.-Mexico border.

Their bids ranged between $300,000 to $500,000.

  1. The wall should be 30′ tall, 15′ wide and no less than 20′ deep and should start a good mile in the Pacific Ocean and likewise end at the Gulf of Mexico. Please don’t forget about our northern borders.

  2. Good, this should help stop illegal immigrants from driving a vehicle without a license and auto insurance anywhere if they get caught.
