AT&T Set to Sell Struggling Company at a Loss…

(Gizmodo) AT&T is said to be very close to a deal for a minority stake in DirecTV AT&T TV Now and U-Verse.

• AT&T is close to closing a deal with private equity firm TPG for $15 Billion.

• AT&T bought DirecTV for $49 billion back in 2015

• AT&T was reportedly first looking to ditch DirecTV or merge it with Dish in 2019 after it lost 4 million pay-TV subscribers in 2019, ending that year with 20.4 million subscribers in the US.

• AT&T lost almost 3 million video customers in 2020.
