Abortion Issue goes National as Both Side Gear Up to Fight State by State…

The Supreme court hears oral arguments in the Mississippi abortion case. Both sides gear up to take the Abortion fight national.

• As the Supreme Court hears the first critical case that directly impacts Roe v.Wade in over three decades, pro-life activists see an opening to take the fight state by state.

• Pro-abortion advocates supporters are also preparing but to play offense.

• Both sides are on edge as the supreme will either overturn or severely weaken Roe v. Wade.

• Elizabeth Nash, a state policy analyst for the Guttmacher Institute, which supports abortion rights, said in a statement, “We have a storm to weather,” she went on to say, “We have to weather the storm so that in the future — five, 10, 15 years from now — we’re talking about how we managed to repeal all these abortion bans.”

• As of right now, 26 states would institute some abortion ban or restriction within a year of the supreme courts’ decision.

• 12 states have a ‘trigger-ban’ already in place, so it will kick into place as soon as the supreme court makes its decision.

• The Supreme is listening to oral arguments in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, a Mississippi case that bans all abortion minus some exemptions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

• The Supreme court will not decide until the summer or fall of 2022 in the Mississippi case

• Abortion is rapidly becoming a vital issue in the 2022 mid-term elections next year.

• According to open secretes, a nonpartisan company that keeps track of political spending – More people have been donating to pro-abortion organizations than pro-life by double or triple the amount.
